Armani designs for the stars!

It seems like fashion designers just can’t help collaborating with the celebrities…first we brought you 'Currency clothing' and their association with Tinie Tempah, and now we bring you one of the world's most famous luxury brands owned by Giorgio Armani, and his many collaborations with some of the finest ladies in the music scene!!

When it comes to shows and T.V. performances, Giorgio Armani has certainly had a good relationship with Lady Gaga…..think back to the Grammy’s or even the Video Music Awards, such outfits have kept everyone talking for days. Once again, the man himself has created another exclusive look for Gaga. For her recent performance on American Idol, the star wore a silk mesh bodysuit embroidered with Chantilly lace and crystal and jet beading, teamed with a silk organza cape, embroidered hood and black patent stiletto boots. Sounds like Gaga doesn’t it LOL!

It has been confirmed that the designer has also produce several looks for the ever eye-catching Gaga to wear on her current tour, ‘The Monster Ball’. Pieces include a sparkly structured body suit, a geometric mini dress with a mirror effect and a black patent floor-sweeping trench coat.

Mr Giorgio has also been announced as the costume designer for Alicia Key’s Element of Freedom Tour. The first part of the collection is claimed to be a sparkling crocodile-printed military jacket, teamed up with silk leggings and Swarovski crystals. The second part of the collection is said to be a one-shoulder silk top with embroidery detailing and leather boots covered with crystals. Other outfits include a one-shouldered silk chiffon gown in a night grey and a mini-dress with ruffles arranged in a cascade.

But this has not been the only time the designer has worked with the star. We ask you to caste your minds back to the American Music Awards, where Miss Key’s was spotted showing off a peacock blue, crystal encrusted bandeau dress.

Well it appears that Armani is a force not be reckoned with, however, the question were asking now is, just how many more collaborations does this guy have up his sleeve? Only time will tell so keep your eyes peeled!!

Sir. Tinie Tempah

Okay, so I'm sure by now everyone must have heard of Tinie Tempah, a young rapper/MC artist from South London, who is certainly in possession of a bright future.

As a matter of fact, Tinie has been on the music scene for quite a while now. His 2006 underground smash hit single, "Wifey", held the Channel U urban chart top spot for 10 consecutive weeks! Towards the end of 2009 he was signed to Parlophone records, which is home to the likes of The Beatles, Lilly Allen and Kylie Monogue. All we can say is...Finally!!!...the UK urban scene is starting to get some recognition.

Tinie is planning to release his LP, "The Disc-Overy" this July, while his second single, "Frisky" is due to be released on June 6, 2010. If you haven't already heard it, have a listen:

In terms of fashion, Tinie has definitely stepped up, giving his style a whole new take on the term 'urban'. He's been spotted sporting plaid shirts and slogan tee's by a fresh clothing brand that go by the name of Currency. They are famously known for their Dope Chef collection as well as others such as 'Paper Boy' and 'I'm your boss'.

Here at J Dot, we've really taken a liking to what the artist has been sporting and we thought we'd give you an insight into what we think is "dope" at the moment!!

To Clog or not to Clog, that is question?

So like it or not, clogs are an official trend for Spring/Summer 2010. At first glimpse clogs may look like the most horrifying and shocking shoe to date, however if teamed up with the right type of outfit and accessories, they can look fabulous and of course chic!

The most striking aspect of the clog is its height, so it’s best to wear them with a cute pair of shorts, skirts, or dresses that skim the thigh!

If that isn’t enough clogs have been given the high fashion treatment, with the likes of Gucci, Chanel, Jimmy Choo and Miu Miu lending a hand to make them irresistible and a must have, that you probably wouldn’t have ever considered
I’m sure the rest of you ladies will be visiting the trusty high-street for your new trend shoe fix - and trust me it doesn't disappoint! Check out River Island’s take on the shoe trend
